Earth Resilience Institute was born at COP30 in Belém by a group climate scientists, support a bottom-up approach in decision making. Founders are:

Sissi Knispel de Acosta: As a climate resilience and science-policy expert, Sissi specializes in translating climate science into actionable strategies for policy, institutions, and vulnerable communities. Her work at ERI focuses on systemic climate adaptation, resilience-building, and implementation-oriented pathways that connect scientific evidence with real-world decision-making.

Dr. Friedrich J. Bohn: As a forest ecologist and systems analyst, Friedrich specializes in modelling complex ecological systems. His work at ERI focuses on which regenerative strategies can help secure global resilience.
